Accommodation & Rates
De Hoop Cottages offer:
- Four open plan self-catering cottages which are the original houses inhabited by the farm workers in earlier years. The cottages were renovated, upgraded and named after the last guys who lived there before new modern houses were built for them. Adam and his wife, Jacoba are still working on the farm.
- Two self-catering off the grid bush cabins situated privately in the bloekombos - for the more adventurous!
- Arrival time is between 14h00 - 20h00 and departure time is 10h00. Early and late check-ins by prior arrangement, please.
- Children are welcome.
- Sorry! No pets!
- Be prepared to drive 2 km of dirt road to experience the magic of farm life.
- Limited cell phone reception due to our location near the mountain. However, 5 km down the road will provide full reception.
- Free WiFi available.
- NO MUSIC OR UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR WILL BE TOLERATED. PEACE AND QUIET IS WHAT WE OFFER.
- Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellations must be notified to us in writing.
- Notification of cancellation received more than 28 days prior to arrival date will forfeit 10% of the Booking Fee.
- Notification of cancellation received less than 28 days but more than 14 days prior to arrival date will forfeit 50% of the Booking Fee.
- Notification of cancellation received less than 14 days prior to arrival date will forfeit 100 % of the Booking Fee.

"Adam se huis" and "Swink se huis"
Sleep 2 persons each. Both cottages have an open plan layout with the beds in the main room.
- Two single beds.
- Bedding and towels are provided.
- Bathroom with shower, basin and toilet.
- Kitchenette with fridge, microwave, kettle, electric frying pan, toaster, gas cooker top, necessary cutlery
- and crockery, pots and pans, braai grid, braai tongs.
- Indoor and outdoor braai facilities and a private deck.
- Wood is for sale.
"Ampie se huis" and "July se huis"
Sleep 4 persons each. Both cottages have an open plan layout.
Ampie se huis has a separate bedroom and two beds in the main room. July se huis has all four beds in the main room.
- Four single beds.

- Bathroom with shower, basin and toilet.
- Kitchenette with fridge, microwave, kettle, electric frying pan, toaster, gas cooker top, necessary cutlery and crockery, pots and pans, braai grid, braai tongs.

"Die Boshuisies"
Situated privately in a kloof - for the more adventurous who wants the camping experience without pitching a tent.
Die Boshuisies are 4-sleeper self-catering wooden cabins, each with an open plan living area and a bedroom. No electricity - only gas facilities. No bedding or towels are supplied.
The ablution block is situated about 70 metres from the cabins and gives access to a private bathroom for each cabin (fitted with flush toilet, shower, hand basin) and a communal scullery. Gas geysers supply hot water.
- Indoor and outdoor braai facilities with braai grid and braai tongs.
- Wooden deck.
- Double bed in the bedroom.
- Bunk bed in the living area.
- No bedding or towels provided.
- Kitchenette with gas cooker top, gas fridge, pots, crockery and cutlery.
- Preferably a high ground clearance vehicle (not necessarily 4x4) is needed to reach "Die Boshuisies".
- Wood is for sale.
